چکیده
Abstract LipoPolySaccharides are a hallmark of Gram-negative bacteria and their presence at the cell surface is key for bacterial integrity. As exposed components, they recognized by immunity C-type lectin receptors present on Antigen Presenting Cells. Human Macrophage Galactose Lectin binds E. coli that presents specific glycan motif. Nevertheless, this high affinity interaction occurs regardless integrity its canonical calcium-dependent binding site. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance MGL carbohydrate recognition domain complete extracellular revealed new site opposite to A model trimeric was determined based combination Small Angle X-ray scattering Alphafold. disulphide bond positions Carbohydrate Recognition Domain perpendicular coiled-coil domain. This unique configuration orients six sites in an ideal position bind with avidity.

Molecular cloning of a human macrophage lectin specific for galactose.
The murine Mac-2 protein is a galactose- and IgE-binding lectin secreted by inflammatory macrophages. We describe here the cloning and characterization of a cDNA representing the human homolog of Mac-2 (hMac-2). The amino acid sequence derived from the hMac-2 cDNA indicates that the protein is evolutionarily highly conserved, with 85% of its amino acid residues being similar to those in the mur...
متن کاملThe C-type lectin macrophage galactose-type lectin impedes migration of immature APCs.
Dendritic cells (DCs) are the most potent APCs of the immune system that seed the peripheral tissues and lymphoid organs. In an immature state, DCs sample their surroundings for incoming pathogens. Upon Ag encounter, DCs mature and migrate to the lymph node to induce adaptive immune responses. The C-type macrophage galactose-type lectin (MGL), expressed in immature DCs, mediates binding to glyc...
متن کاملOutsourcing through Three-dimensional Competition
In this paper, we study an outsourced supply chain consisting of one buyer and two suppliers in which the buyer outsources manufacturing of a physical product to two competing suppliers. The suppliers compete for the buyers' demands share, and the buyer allocates the demands to the competing suppliers based on three-dimensional allocation functions. We consider two certain types of allocation f...

Silicosis is considered to be among the occupational lung diseases and associated with sandblasting, mining, quarrying and tunneling. Acute silicosis is usually progressive diseaseand despite treatment with corticosteroids it leads to cardio-respiratory failure and death. Alveolar silicoproteinosis is one of it’s acute presentations due to exposure to silica dust and lungs filling with protei...
